Kay Buchan has been practicing as an Integrative Psychotherapist since 2004, working with both adults and adolescents with many different psychological and emotional difficulties, including relationship issues, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, anger, bereavement and loss, and identity issues. She has worked in a broad range of settings, including the NHS, schools, charities and in private practice.
She offers a safe, non-judgemental and fully confidential environment where you can explore the issues that may be troubling you or holding you back. Her approach is integrative and flexible which means that she tailors the therapy to suit the specific needs and particular circumstances of each individual client. Since the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the therapy, the first session offers an opportunity to meet, talk through your needs, and decide whether you feel comfortable working together. There is no obligation to continue at this point.
She is UKCP registered and is also a member of IATE and BACP and abides by their Code of Ethics and Code of Practice. She has an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy with Adults and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling with Adolescents.
