I am an integratively trained therapist, accredited by BACP, and have been providing counselling since 2001. Alongside a small private practice my work over the years has been with charities and in education - in the area of psychological well-being as a counsellor, supervisor and trainer.
While having experience and knowledge of a range of approaches to counselling and psychotherapy, I would describe my way of working as ‘relational’. I draw upon each counselling relationship to explore with the client their needs and problems and how these may be addressed.
Areas of greatest experience for me have been working with trauma (Witness Against Abuse), disability (RNIB and Action for Blind People) and with a very diverse range of issues, such as anxiety and depression, in education (City Lit and London Metropolitan University).
I teach counselling at City Lit and CPPD Counselling School, and supervise the work of trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.
If you would like to speak with me about your situation, I offer a free initial telephone conversation. This normally takes about 15 minutes and is covered by the same confidentiality as counselling. It’s an opportunity to touch base and ask any questions you may have.
My current availability for private sessions is limited to Tuesdays and my standard fee is £65. However, I do have some concessionary availability in the morning or early afternoon.
