My name is Ajax Scott and I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist and counsellor.
I have experience helping clients with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, work-related stress, co-dependency, sexual abuse, and other trauma.
You may have a specific issue that you wish to explore, in which case it might be appropriate for us to work together for a fairly short period of time in order to focus on this. On the other hand there may be something more deeply-rooted that is bothering you, or you may have feel that you are ready for a deeper exploration. In that case we might embark on a longer journey together.
I don’t offer advice. Rather I offer a confidential space where we can explore what is going on in your life and where you can get different perspectives so that you can start to make the changes that you want. I offer an opportunity for you to be heard and understood, especially when discussing experiences that you might find it hard to explore elsewhere. On occasion I may challenge you, but I will always seek to be supportive.
I hold a Masters Degree and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling. As well as working in private practice, I have also previously worked for Transport for London’s in-house Counselling and Trauma Service, for a leading primary care trust within the NHS in central London, and for London Metropolitan University’s student counselling service.
I am accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
You can find out more about me, my approach and other practicalities at my website. I’ve also written an article there about how to find the right therapist, which some people have found helpful when considering therapy. Feel free to give me a call so we can talk about what you are looking for. All calls and meetings will be strictly confidential.
