People seek therapy for myriad reasons – often they feel lost, ‘stuck’, or wish to change, understand or better cope with an aspect of their lives.  It is a creative collaboration in a confidential, safe, non-judgemental space.  In therapy we explore the client’s position towards their current issues within the context of their past relationships and experiences.  We identify patterns as they arise and examine unconscious assumptions, reactions and motivations.  Together, we piece together the puzzle of what is troubling the client, so that old wounds can heal and the client is supported in moving forward in a more satisfying and meaningful way.  Some of the issues my clients face include:

  • trauma and neglect
  • physical, sexual and mental abuse
  • identity, meaning and purpose
  • attachment, relationship and interpersonal issues
  • depression, anxiety and stress
  • grief, loss and bereavement
  • addiction
  • phobias
  • gender
  • sexuality
  • anger and emotional difficulties, including personality disorders
